As a bit of a wind down to a weekend where I've struggled to rest due to illness this album has come closest to chilling me out. It's officially released tomorrow and draws heavily on that brand of Americana that Bon Iver and Bill Callahan excel at. They sound a bit more traditional American folk although I can't help hear the lead singer and think that's Jon Bon Jovi singing! It's not a criticism at all either to Bon Jovi or the Whiskey Priests. Some of the songs work better than others but overall I really enjoyed this shortish long player.
