I'm not the biggest fan of Marxist chic but art can transcend politics even when it is created with dubious intentions. I don't know why Doris Days paid tribute to her and their mealy-mouthed bullshit about Ulrike Meinhof being the only true icon in Western Europe in the 20th Century is as patently wrong as it is ridiculous but the tune is beautiful.
