gus gus

Between the Sugarcubes disbanding and the likes of Sigur Ros coming to the fore, Icelandic music didn't get much airplay. It wasn't that there was no good music coming from that musical island rather than a lack of interest from the radio stations and music magazines. There was one band, however, that almost single-handedly kept the flame alight for Icelandic pop music and that was Gus Gus. I can't remember when I first heard their music but I've been hooked ever since. Here's their latest album and proof that they still haven't lost their touch.
