Dianna Theodora Kenny, a professor of psychology at Sydney University has studied the causes of death and average ages of death for musicians and subdivided by genre. You can read lots more about it here but particularly bad news if you're a rapper (homicide), blues singers (heart-related) and jazz (cancer).
