This album is something of a slow burner. I bought it, played it once and then thought 'no'. But since then I've given it a few more listens and it has definitely grown on me. It has a Witch House feel to it that can put you off if you were expecting something a little lighter but it's certainly listenable. I think it sounds almost like a soundtrack and it led me to think what kind of film it would be the backdrop to. Probably an art house production with lots of wistful glances into the distance.
