The latest single from The Raveonettes sees them return to rockier sounds with loads of reverb, muffle and echo. It's still got all the quality you expect. Have they ever made a duff record? I don't think so.

the raveonettes - 'wake me up'

Taken from their 2014 album Pe'ahi, this is possibly their most autobiographical album to date dealing with love, death, near-death and infidelity. These are all big subjects for sure, but the California surf theme of the album lifts it from any morbid navel-gazing into something quite bright and fresh.
