3 of my favourite Icelanders have launched a long-term project going where all 3 of them, Sóley, Sin Fang and Örvar Smárson (from Múm and FM Belfast), write and record a song each month together. They're now 3 months in and this is the latest offering. This track is very Sóley-sounding: folky, ethereal and sparse at times.

This is a live performance for KEXP together with the Seattle Rock Orchestra Quintet but sadly doesn't include Soley, the guest performer on the album version. Never mind, as lovely as Soley is (and she is one of my favourite Icelandic singers) this is a superb version nonetheless.

Truth be told, I'm shattered. I've had a lovely day with my 2 sons down on Hove Lawns and the weather has been what can only be described as glorious but we were out all day and the heat has finally beaten me. There's still time for some music though, there's always time for music and so I'm keeping the tempo down and the mood lighting low with this live performance from Sindri Már Sigfússon.
