Signed to the Rough Trade label at a precociously young age, this Northern Irish singer-songwriter has delivered a very mature collection of songs as her debut album. There's a darkness to it underneath a quiet, almost trippy ambience that pervades throughout. It's the same feeling that you might get after listening to someone like The XX. She has toured with Chvrches and this doesn't surprise me with where she has placed herself musically. There's comparisons with Laura Marling from some quarters but I don't buy that. She's her own woman with her own style.
