wear your wounds - 'steps'

Variously described as post-rock, I'm not sure it does Wear Your Wounds justice. This is a beautiful piano piece however you describe it and is taken from the new album Dunedevil.

wooden wand - 'one can only love'

James Toth's decamp to Kentucky is certainly agreeing with him. His latest Wooden Wand album is an absolute joy and this a particular highlight from it.

othos w/ defussion - 'lust'

something a bit mean and moody now.

bjorn riis - 'forever comes to an end'

Airbag's Bjorn Riis returns with his second album and it's absolutely epic. Seriously, there aren't too many musicians making these kind of tunes anymore with David Gilmour-esque guitar solos that just soar but then, being the Norwegian that he is, he can't resist a little bit of a metal riff in there too. So good.

luke sital-singh - 'still'

The track is a few years old now but Luke Sital-Singh has packaged it within his brand new album ' Time Is A Riddle'. It's an excellent track on what is a superb album that doesn't break any new ground but what it does deliver are perfectly formed pop tunes.

diagrams - 'wild grasses'

Taken from the new Diagrams album 'Dorothy', it's a collaboration between pop/folk singer Sam Genders aka Diagrams and 90 year old poet Dorothy Trogdon who provides the lyrics to this concept album exploring nature. If it all sounds a bit pretentious then nothing could be farther from the truth, it's actually quite a beautiful LP.

elton john - 'benny and the jets' new official video.

A brand new official video for the Elton John classic 'Benny and The Jets'. Rocket Man and Tiny Dancer to follow.

hundred waters - 'takeover'

Florida dream-pop outfit Hundred Waters have a lovely little EP out with this being one of the stand-out tracks from it.

muse - 'dig down'

They still sound like Queen but this time they appear to have added Primal Scream to their repertoire. Sorry but it's a no from me.
